The Fox and the Hound and The Fox and the Hound 2 on Blu-ray and DVD

On August 9th, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will bring two great friends in two great adventures home on Blu-ray and DVD, with the simultaneous release of The Fox and Hound, and the sequel, the Fox and the Hound 2. The original film is packaged as part of the 30th anniversary celebration, dating back to 1981, while the sequel has a much more modest 5 year anniversary of its own. Both star Tod the fox and Copper the hound dog, an impossible set of lifelong friends, despite being destined to hunt one another. For the first time ever in high-definition, consumers can now experience the brilliant, humor-filled adventures of best friends Copper and Tod in an all-new digitally restored version of the original 1981 film, arriving to stores on August 9, 2011.
